How to convert a video to MP4
Open your video, leave the format on MP4 and press Export. Clipvexa encodes the video as H.264 and the audio as AAC. If your browser has no native AAC encoder, Clipvexa uses a small encoder bundled with the site.
What can be converted
Clipvexa can open the containers it recognises (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV) as long as your browser can decode the video inside. Tests cover WebM VP8 and VP9 with Opus audio converted to MP4 with AAC audio.
- If the video codec cannot be decoded by your browser, Clipvexa says so before starting.
- If the audio cannot be processed, the MP4 is exported without audio and you are told.
- Clipvexa reopens the MP4 it creates to check its tracks and length.
